The only other water rocket launcher that we've seen with a pressure gauge costs $300.00.  The Bourton tube analog pressure gauge measures pressures up to 160 psi. (If your rocket hasn't launched by that pressure you should immediately resort to the emergency launch producers as found in the instructions.)  The pressure gauge does not aid in the launch, but allows experimenters to know the pressure at the time of launch. For teachers, the students can record the launch pressure and correlate it with maximum altitude. The pressure gauge adds that little touch that really sets you apart from the crowd.
